Demorest, GA – Piedmont College head men's basketball coach Lee Glenn as accepted a new administrative role in the athletic department as the Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Communications and will step away from his duties on the hard court.  Glenn will continue his role as the Director of Golf where he coordinates the administration of the men's and women's golf programs.

In his new role the 10-year veteran of the department will oversee the school's Athletic Communications department and handle all promotion, marketing, image branding and home game operations of the school's 15 intercollegiate sports.  Glenn is no stranger to the Athletic Communications field as he served as the Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Communications for four years at Methodist University before arriving on the Demorest campus in 2002. 

In his nine years as the head men's basketball coach Glenn tallied a 99-135 career record which places him second on the school's all-time wins and winning percentage lists.  He took the reins of the program in 2003 as one of the youngest NCAA head coaches and has been roaming the sidelines during PC's entire NCAA Division III membership. 

Glenn was named the Great South Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 2011 and his program has mentored numerous academic and athletic achievements including a Josten's Trophy finalist and All-American.  His squads also claimed a pair of tournament titles during his tenure capturing both the 2009 NYC Tournament of Heroes title and the 2007 Roger Taylor Invitational championship during his tenure.

In his continued role of Director of Golf Glenn will aid the men's and women's golf programs both of which he started from the ground up beginning in 2003 including five years as the programs' head coach.

A nationwide search for Glenn's replacement as head men's basketball coach will begin immediately.
