Demorest, GA - Piedmont held on to defeat Huntingdon in its first GSAC win of the season, 90-82, despite watching a double-digit lead and nine-point halftime lead disappear late in the second half. The Hawks tied the game at 76 with 4:42 to go in the game after trailing by 17 at one point in the opening half. Senior #Josh Haymore# and freshman #Dylan Delaney# buried clutch triples in the closing minutes to preserve the win.

The Lady Lions held a 10-point lead at the half, as senior #Amber Satterfield# had a pair of tri-fectas and 10 points going into the locker room. The women moved to 15-3 overall and 7-2 in Great South Athletic Conference play in the win.

The men’s basketball coaching staffs of both Piedmont and Huntingdon will be wearing sneakers instead of their usual dress shoes on the sideline as this fashion statement is to show support for the Coaches vs. Cancer initiative and to encourage a healthy lifestyle.

Covenant brought a 12-game losing streak to a sudden halt with the home win, as they improve to 5-13 overall and 1-3 in Great South Athletic Conference play. Five Scots reached double figures in the home win.
