Piedmont Loses Longtime Friend And Former Coach In Cash

Cornelia, GA - Former Piedmont assistant softball coach Ralph Cash passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 18 at his Cornelia residence, following a battle with cancer at the age of 63.  Cash was a close friend to the Piedmont community and was a member of Grove Level Baptist Church in Cornelia.  He had retired from coaching softball for the Lady Lions, but was around in the early years under current head coach Terry Martin.

The family of Cash will receive friends for visitation at McGahee-Griffin & Stewart funeral home in Cornelia on Thursday from 6:00 pm-9:00 pm, as well as Friday from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm and again from 6:00 pm-9:00 pm.  Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, Jan. 21 at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart.  

Flowers are accepted and memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Lena McGahee, 170 Thomas Street, Apt.
