Piedmont College Athletics

Demorest, GA -- The Piedmont College Office of Sports Information has announced that a new feature will be added to the PC Sports Network lineup starting with the 2010-2011 academic year. Beginning this fall, fans will now be able to tune in to a live weekly broadcast covering all things related to Piedmont College athletics enhancing fans’ abilities to keep up with their favorite Lion and Lady Lion athletic teams.

Streaming directly from WRFP, the student-run radio station on the campus of Piedmont College, the live weekly broadcast will take place every Monday evening at 7:30 pm and bring news of the week in PC athletics directly to the homes of fans nationwide using the world wide web. Fans will be able to tune in to the broadcast, dubbed “Monday Mane Event” by the Office of Sports Information, from across the country by accessing the WRFP website and clicking the “Listen Live Now” link in the top right hand corner.

Hosted by Sports Information Director Timmy McCormack, show formats plan to include interviews with head coaches and student-athletes of PC’s 14 intercollegiate sports to give fans an inside glimpse of each program. As an added bonus, fans will be able to email questions directly into the show while interviews are being conducted with the opportunity to have actual PC coaches and players answer their questions.

Eleven weekly shows are already in the works for the fall season with more to be planned once winter and spring sports schedules are released later this year. Check back to the “PC Sports Network” link on the homepage of Piedmont athletics for changes or updates to the schedule of shows.
