Women's Tennis Falls In GSAC Tournament Opener To #3 Seed Spelman

Senior Tyler Baldonado paired with junior Jennifer Granlund to claim the sole point for the Lady Lions at #1 doubles in a 5-1 loss to Spelman College in the GSAC tournament this afternoon at Burgen Tennis Courts.
Demorest, GA -- The Piedmont College women's tennis team fell in its opening match of the Great South Athletic Conference to #3 seed Spelman College this afternoon at Burgen Tennis Courts.  The Lady Lions fought hard to grab a victory at #1 doubles, but dropped three singles matches to end their 2010 campaign. 

Senior Tyler Baldonado and junior Jennifer Granlund were the pair responsible for the victory at the top doubles slot taking the match in a tie break situation. 

The Lady Lions end the 2010 season with a 6-11 overall record while maintaining a 2-5 mark in conference play.
