Women's Soccer Player Erin Pippin Recognized For Academic Achievement

Senior midfielder Erin Pippin has been named to the Scholar All-South Region 3rd Team as announced by the National Soccer Coaches' Association of America.
Kansas City, KS -- Piedmont College women's soccer player Erin Pippin has been honored as an All-Region Scholar Athlete as announced by the National Soccer Coaches' Association of America.  The award goes out to the top scholar athletes based on academic and athletic performance from a field of over 50 teams in the south region.

The McDonough, GA native receives the award after helping the Lady Lions to a 14-4 record this past fall.  Pippin came to Piedmont in 2007 and played three seasons for the PC women's soccer program receiving All-Conference and All-Academic honors from the Great South Athletic Conference in 2009. 

The senior midfielder spent her last two seasons under current head coach Stephen Andrew helping guide the 2009 squad to the Great South Athletic Conference tournament final.  For the Lady Lions, the championship game appearance was the first since 2006.
