LaGrange, GA -- Several Piedmont College student athletes have been honored by the Great South Athletic Conference as Players of the Week in their respective sports as announced by the league office this afternoon. Softball player #B.J. Cofer

Jon Reinert,
Mike Matthews, and
Mandy Beasley were all honored by the GSAC for the week ending April 11.
Lady Lion #B.J. Cofer# is the GSAC softball Pitcher of the Week for the third time this season. The junior from Woodstock, GA went 3-0 on the mound including a shutout win over Berry College. Cofer did not allow an earned run in 19 innings while giving up only nine hits and striking out seventeen. The PC softball team will play host to conference foe LaGrange College on Saturday, April 17 with the doubleheader set to start at 2:00.
Junior tennis player
Moses Das has been named the GSAC men's singles Player of the Week. The weekly honor is the second of the season for the Ellenwood, GA native. Das was a perfect 3-0 at #1 singles last week taking two conference matches over LaGrange College and Huntingdon College. The second year player is also 5-0 this season in GSAC play with all but one win coming in straight sets.
The men's tennis doubles Players of the Week are sophomore
Jon Reinert and senior
Mike Matthews. The pair went 3-0 last week at #2 doubles including wins over GSAC members LaGrange College and Huntingdon College. The two have won their last four matches in doubles play. The men's tennis team will return to the court on Saturday, April 17 traveling to Lenior-Rhyne College for a 10:00 match.
The women's tennis singles Player of the Week is
Mandy Beasley who was a flawless 4-0 in her singles matches. The senior from Suwanee, GA won three matches at #6 singles in addition to a victory at #4 singles. Beasley is 6-1 in her last seven singles matches helping the Lady Lions to four of their five wins this season over that span. The women's tennis team will return to action traveling to Winston-Salem, NC on Saturday, April 17 for a 2:00 conference battle with Salem College.
