Macon, GA -- The Great South Athletic Conference has announced the 2009 men and women's year-end tennis awards. The Piedmont College tennis programs placed a combined seven player on the Great South All-Academic Team.

On the men's side James McGuigan represented the Lions while Tyler Baldonado, Laurel Carter, Jennifer Gathercoal, Michelle Holland and Jenny Shane received the recognition on the women's side.

To become a member of the GSAC All-Conference Team a student-athlete must carry better than a 3.25 cumulative GPA and be at least a sophomore in the classroom.
