Hi all. Final entry. We came up with the loss today against Emory. We worked hard the whole time and never stopped trying. We started out very well and kept the score 0-0 for the first half. Emory came out flying second half and finally scored on us. They put away three against us, but we regret nothing. Coming to nationals and playing the fifth team in the nation was quite an experience. We held our own for a majority of the game and I have truly never seen my team play a better first half. My girls played wonderfully tonight and I'm proud of each and every one of them. This is not the last nationals has seen of us. I can't wait to go out, play with my girls again, and kick some booty.

Hi! Final update before our game! On Friday, we practiced for a bit on Emory's field. Where everything finally became real. My team is not wasting anytime being here; we are enjoying every minute of it. Our practice was short but sweet. All of the girls looked sharp and everyone, as usual, worked very hard. But don't worry.. We still had a laugh and stayed true to ourselves. We went to The Cheesecake Factory for dinner where we all had a great time! We are all very excited to play in a few short hours! Honestly, no matter what happens I know my team will play with everything they have. Our motivation is still the key to our work ethic and believe me you'll see that come game time. Thanks for reading!

Hi its Marj again! So today was our last practice on our home field before we play Emory, on Saturday. The practice went well and as always the girls had a laugh, but worked with a determined motivation. The practice was fun, but there was an underlying determination to work hard to get the most out of, possibly, our last true practice on our field. Today our coaches gave us even more reason to fight with all we have. Since our reasons have been “upped” there has been a noticeable fire set under our team. So believe me, as a team each of hearts will be on the field come Saturday. With this new motivation I know each of my teammates will give all they have this weekend. Tomorrow we will leave Piedmont around noon and head for Emory. We’ll practice for a bit when we get there to prepare for Saturday. We can’t wait to get there and find out, for the first time, what nationals is all about.

Hi! I’m Marj, the keeper here at Piedmont College. My team recently won conference and we are now on our way to our first appearance in Nationals. Winning conference was one of my team’s ultimate goals all season, and we did it! But, our season did not end there. We recently watched the selection show on Monday. We waited in great anticipation for the game we would be playing on Saturday. We knew that Emory, the fifth team in the nation, could be a possible opponent, but we were hoping for an easier road. When Piedmont popped up as Emory’s first opponent, admittedly, we were all a bit worried, but we have since then taken a new approach. Our coach, Stephen Andrew, has inspired a fighting confidence in my team. We have been working hard all week and we intend to keep doing so. I admit we are the underdog in this fight, but to the nay sayers...We as a team will fight our hardest believe me.
