Raleigh, NC - The Piedmont Women's tennis team came away from William Peace University unscathed with an 8-1 victory, today.

Katie Sailors clinched at No. 1 singles for Lady Lions with a 6-0, 6-1 defeat. In doubles play, Piedmont came out strong winning at No.'s 2 and 3. Meghan Smith and Chelsea Prince worked overtime to get the 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles. William Peace would not allow the scorecard to go untouched with a close 7-5, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles over Piedmont.

The USA South Conference win moves the Lady Lions Tennis to 8-8 overall and 8-3 in conference play. Their next match is April 10th at 3:30 pm against Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia.
