Minneapolis, MN -- The Piedmont College men's cross country team competed this morning at Big Ten Conference member University of Minnesota's 24th Annual Roy Griak Invitational. The Harriers produced their best showing of the season as the second through fifth runners finished within 39 seconds of each other.
Michael Fidero paced the squad with an 8K time of 28:39.
Aaron Saylor followed with a time of 31:18 while
Wesley Milton and James Maxwell crossed the tape in 31:36 and 31:37 respectively. Sophomore
Matt Collins rounded out the team with a meet time of 31:57.
The Lady Lions traveled this morning to Great South Athletic Confernece host LaGrange College in LaGrange, GA for the Pre-Conference Invitational.
Michelle Sosia paced the squad with a 6K time of 30:33 while
Anna McClatchy followed in 34:12. As a team the women finished in 5th place out of the six team field.
Both teams will return to the course on October 10th as they travel to the 37th Annual Furman University Invitational in Greenville, SC. The women will begin at 8:30 while the men will take to the trail at 9:00.
