LaGrange, GA -- The Great South Athletic Conference proudly announced its new branding identity earlier this morning spearheaded with a new logo and updated conference website. The new conference website boasts a new sleek design and features as the conference continues its partnership with SIDEARM Sports of Syracuse. The league's new logo was created by JL Designs in Holly Springs, NC.

Demorest, GA -- Shane Wood has been named the head coach for both the men's and women's tennis programs at Piedmont College as announced by the Department of Athletics. Wood spent the last three years at NCAA Division-I Jacksonville University in Florida, but is very familiar with the PC tennis program having served as the head men's and women's tennis coach for the Lions over eight seasons.

Demorest, GA -- Piedmont College men's assistant basketball coach Greg Neeley has resigned from his position at the school and will be announced as the new head men's basketball coach at Ancilla College. Ancilla, located in Donaldson, Indiana, is s member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and the Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA). His promotion also vacates the head men's and women's tennis positions at PC.

Demorest, GA -- The Piedmont College women's tennis team fell in its opening match of the Great South Athletic Conference to #3 seed Spelman College this afternoon at Burgen Tennis Courts.  The Lady Lions fought hard to grab a victory at #1 doubles, but dropped three singles matches to end their 2010 campaign.

Demorest, GA -- The possibility of poor weather moving through the Demorest area on the weekend has caused the Great South Athletic Conference Tennis championship tournament to alter its weekend schedule.  Both of the men's semi-final matches originally scheduled for Saturday, May 1 have been moved up to Friday, April 30 while the start time of the opening women's match has also been altered.

LaGrange, GA --  The 2010 Great South Athletic Conference tennis year-end awards have been released with five Piedmont players making the list of honorees as announced by the league office this afternoon.  Men's tennis player #Moses Das# headlined the award winners as the sophomore was named Men's GSAC Co-Player of the Year.
