Starkville, MS -- Piedmont College softball player #B.J. Cofer# has been selected to the 2010 Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division III All-Region team as announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.  The junior pitcher collected 22 wins on the season while maintaining an outstanding 0.99 earned run average in 29 appearances.

Newport News, VA -- The Piedmont College softball team was knocked out of the NCAA Regional this afternoon by the Bobcats of Frostburg State University in a match up of the #6 and #7 tournament seeds.  In a back-and-forth game that saw three lead changes in just two innings, Frostburg took a 5-3 decision despite a late rally by Piedmont.

Newport News, VA -- The Piedmont College softball team fell in its NCAA Division III National Tournament opener to Christopher Newport University this afternoon by a 3-2 score.  The Lady Lions held a two run lead in the sixth inning before allowing two unearned runs and a seventh inning walk-off single to drop their first NCAA post-season action.

Newport News, VA -- The Piedmont College softball team is headed to Newport News, VA as it was announced from the NCAA office that the Lady Lions will be participating in the eight-team regional at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA.  The seventh-seeded Lady Lions will square off against the second-seeded hosts on Thursday, May 13 at 4:00 at CNU's Captain's Park.

Demorest, GA -- The Piedmont College softball team's dramatic ending to their recent 2010 Great South Athletic Conference Championship was captured on video and now available for Lady Lion fans to enjoy.  Freshman #Rebecca Renfroe# hit an eighth inning walk-off homerun to secure the championship and the school's second-ever NCAA National Tournament bid.

Montgomery, AL --  The Piedmont College softball team claimed the Great South Athletic Conference tournament title this afternoon in dramatic fashion having to come from behind for the third consecutive game.  The Lions broke a scoreless tie with conference member LaGrange College in the bottom of the eight inning to claim its first GSAC tournament title since 2005.
