LaGrange, GA -- Piedmont College men's athletics have been awarded the inaugural Great South Athletic Conference Institutional Sportsmanship of the Year Award as announced by the league office. The honor was awarded to PC based on the votes of all male student-athletes within the GSAC and is the first of its kind in the conference.

LaGrange, GA -- The Great South Athletic Conference proudly announced its new branding identity earlier this morning spearheaded with a new logo and updated conference website. The new conference website boasts a new sleek design and features as the conference continues its partnership with SIDEARM Sports of Syracuse. The league's new logo was created by JL Designs in Holly Springs, NC.

Demorest, GA -- Piedmont College men's assistant basketball coach Greg Neeley has resigned from his position at the school and will be announced as the new head men's basketball coach at Ancilla College. Ancilla, located in Donaldson, Indiana, is s member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and the Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA). His promotion also vacates the head men's and women's tennis positions at PC.

Kansas City, MO -- Four members of the Piedmont College men's basketball team have been placed on the 2009-10 National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court as announced by the organization this afternoon.  Juniors #Daniel Lampl# and #Phillip Sloan# join seniors #Will Martin# and #Michael Rubio# as the four honorees from Piedmont on the prestigious list that recognizes student-athletes for their work on and off the court.

Demorest, GA -- Piedmont College men's basketball player #J.C. Herebia# has been named to the All-State team as announced by the Georgia Basketball Coaches Association on its year-end honor roll.  Herebia led the Lions (15-11) in scoring (14.1 ppg) and rebounding (5.6 rpg) and earned the team's Teammate of the Year award at the recent annual awards banquet.

Gainesville, GA -- Piedmont College athletic department members Jocelyn Glenn (Head Athletic Trainer) and Lee Glenn (Head Men's Basketball/Director of Golf) are proud to announce the birth of their second child Hadley Marie Glenn. Hadley was born at 1:01 PM on Sunday, February 28th at Northeast Georgia Regional Medical Center in Gainesville. Hadley weighed 7 pounds and 5 ounces and was 20 inches long.
